Maja Vrvilo

From Croatia, Maja graduated from the University of Zagreb with a BA in Film and Television Editing, and was also awarded the 1992 Dean’’s Award. She also received a BA in Music from the Music Conservatory in Zagreb. Her thesis film was successfully screened at film festivals in Europe, Australia and Asia. She recently taught editing at the University of Zagreb and worked on a feature film. At the end of her first year as a Fellow at the American Film Institute, Maja was the recipient of the Sherrill C. Corwin Award as Outstanding Editor. Maja was the editor for the independent feature film TEMPS, as well as editor for the short film WORLD UPON HER SHOULDER for Lifetime Television. She is currently the Associate Editor on THE LAST DAYS, a documentary from executive producer Steven Spielberg. She recieved her Master of Fine Arts Degree from AFI in June of 1998.
