Lindsay MacKay
DirectorLindsay developed a keen sense for the craft of filmmaking while studying film production at York University. There she directed the short films LACES (2007) and WE'RE ON OUR WAY (2006), which have gone on to such successes as winning the Moondance International Film Festival and screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. She has also completed the 35 master‐class at the prestigious FAMU academy in Prague, where she made the short MINCE (2008) ‐‐ deemed best film of the program. Along with narrative film making Lindsay completed a co‐directed video installation for Toronto's Nuit Blanche, which was voted the number one attraction of the night by the Toronto Star. Her most recent work, CLEAR BLUE (2010) is her thesis film at the American Film Institute. While studying at AFI she was awarded the Bridge/ Larson Foundation grant for her thesis and received the prestigious Mary Pickford Endowment for academic achievement and acknowledgement of her talent. Currently Lindsay is developing her first feature titled WET BUM.
