La Monde Byrd

La Monde, a Michigan native, received his BA from Central State Universityﾊwhere he studied Spanish and Water Resource Management. Heﾊjourneyed to Mexico for two academic terms and was an R.O.T.C.ﾊcandidate. It was during this time La Monde began to write and act, performing in several city and regional plays. After graduation, he pursued his acting career in Los Angeles, appearing on television shows such as BOSTON PUBLIC (Fox), THE SHIELD (FX), SUPERNATURAL (CW) and CSI (CBS). In 2006, he produced the short film PRIVACY POLICY, starring Sharif Atkins and Anson Mount and is now in post-production for his first feature film (as a producer), SPEED DATING, with Holly Robinson Peete, Wesley Jonathan and Vanessa Simmons. He currently recurs on AMC's MAD MEN as Hollis, the in the know elevator operator. La Monde is developing several film and television projects as a producer andﾊwriter/director, while completing his MFA at the American Film Institute (AFI).
