KYLE FISCHER was born in Salem, Oregon. At 19 he moved to Idaho in pursuit of a business degree at Northwest Nazarene University. In 2001 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business, and subsequently started a company before turning his interests to film and video. He was the Creative Director for an Oregon production company, IKE Media, and producer for a community television station. Kyle operated cameras for the Oregon State Legislative Administration during the 73rd Legislative Assembly, and was a part of an alternative education program that taught video production to high school students and foster boys. In 2008 Kyle’’s desire to marry his love of film and business led him to the doorstep of the American Film Institute. While at AFI he interned at Francis Ford Coppola’’s company, The American Zoetrope, and Charlize Theron’’s Production Company, Denver and Delilah. Recently, Kyle interned for NeoClassics Films, a distribution company in Culver City. In his final year at AFI, he was awarded the Tom Yoda Scholarship for Producing.
