Kulabako Kyabanji

Kulaba is a British-Ugandan who has grown up between London and Kampala. Her interest in film developed during her time at the University of Exeter where she earned a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations in 2012. Since her undergraduate Kulaba has worked various production jobs between Britain and Uganda, starting as a runner on music videos and working her way to producing corporate videos and documentaries. Currently she is enrolled at the American Film Institute Conservatory completing her Masters in Producing. Kulaba draws inspiration from much of the comparative research and work she has completed in both the west and developing world. Her core interest is in Producing film and television that harmonizes entertainment and socio-political awareness ultimately in aid of social action.
