Katerina Hoyo-Frederickson

Katerina Hoyo-Frederickson is a Greek-American California native Writer, Producer, Director, Actress who has been entertaining people since she was 3 years old. Prior to AFI she wrote, directed, and produced 4 shorts; Terminal Submersion (2018), A Stally Night (2017), The Hearts of Geeks and Cougars (2018), This Man of Our Dreams (2018), and produced 2 features; Hercules, Houdini Holmes (2019) and The Jungle Book (2022).At AFI she Produced 5 short films; The Red Zone (2019), Necromancers (2020), Porcelain (2022), and wrote two of them as well; Co-Writer for Born on the 5th of July (2022) and wrote Shared Vessel (2022). While in school she worked as Production Coordinator for Moonbug Entertainment, and Co-Produced a feature, Gimme My Money (2022). She works regularly as Development Director for the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival. Katerina knows what sells, loves great stories, kind superstar colleagues, and knew once she decided to go to AFI knew that it meant she was jumping into the volcano and giving her life to the movie gods.
