Julia Tasker

After receiving her BA in Film Studies from UNC-Wilmington, Julia worked as a script supervisor for feature films including This Is It, Bolden!, Louis, Cabin Fever 2, and Talledega Nights (splinter-unit). In 2008, she followed a childhood dream and moved to Los Angeles. Julia produced and directed a short, written by friend Damian Lahey, called “No Palace Can Stand Forever.” With this short, she was accepted to the only school she applied to, The American Film Institute Conservatory. She has directed four more shorts in the past year, and her MFA culminates with the production of “Skinny Jo,” her AFI thesis.
