Joachim Schoenfeld
DirectorJoachim Schoenfeld is the director as well as the writer of ODD MAN. Born in East Germany, Joachim earned his BA at theHochschule fur Schauspielkunst
'Ernst Busch' Berlin, the prestigious actor's college in the former East Berlin. After working on stage for two years, he defected to the West. There, he continued
acting, on stage as a member of the Schiller-Theater company, and for film and TV,
for UFA Babelsberg, Columbia Tri Star and Paramount. He worked with directors such as Bodo Fuerneisen, Jim Johnston, Sascha Schneider, Reuben
Leder, Fred Keller and Margarethe V. Trotta. Joachim also worked as 1st AD on three German MOWs, and in 1993, he began to
direct his own festival shorts. Joachim earn his MFA at the American Film Institute in September of 1998.
