Jiahao Sam Zhang

Jiahao Zhang is a cinematographer from Suzhou, China. He completed his B.A. in Film & TV production from Boston University. After finishing undergrad, he started his career as a freelance cinematographer working back and forth between China and the U.S. He just completed his MFA in Cinematography from the AFI Conservatory in June 2020.His works have been screened and selected for film festivals all over the world including First Youth Film Festival in China,Cannes film festival court Métrage, and Aesthetics Short Film Festival. His recent short Carnival was featured by Panavision, Booooom TV and showing on Nowness picks. He was one of few candidates selected into the ASC vision mentorship program in 2020.
