Jhanvi Motla

Jhanvi is a 2017 graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory. Born and raised in Mumbai, India, she earned her BA in Producing for the Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College in 2014. Post-Graduation, Jhanvi served as Executive Assistant to Max Mutchnick (Co-Creator of Will & Grace). In summer of 2013, she attended a summer intensive course at FAMU in Prague. Jhanvi has interned at a range of companies in the Development and Production departments; MGM Studios, BBC Worldwide, Lotus Entertainment, Alcon Entertainment, Andrew Lauren Productions and Grandview Automatik. Coming to AFI was an active decision on Jhanvi’’s part to re-engage in the creative process of writing and producing. This story is close to Jhanvi’’s own tryst with her homeland India. She hopes this story will be a stepping stone towards highlighting the culture clashes between the budding generations of Indians globally.
