Jessica Landaw
An L.A. native and recipient of a Women in Film ""Mentor Award"", Jessica holds
an M.F.A. in Directing from the American Film Institute and a B.A. in Film &
Video from the University of Michigan. She also studied filmmaking at
Northwestern and USC. After college, she joined the Editor''''s Guild and began
working on such films as LOVE AFFAIR, THE WAR AT HOME, and POWER RANGERS: THE
MOVIE.
Her AFI thesis film UGLY NAKED PEOPLE has screened at 31 international film
festivals and won 12 awards, including Grand Prizes at the Producers Guild of
America Student Film Competition, BIEFF Student Video Expo, and the San Luis
Obispo Film Festival.
Recently, Jessica served as Video Unit Director on the Miramax / Dimension
feature HALLOWEEN 8. She also directed the award-winning comedic documentary
RACHEL, NEVADA, as well as several short films, a music video and 2 PSA''''s.
She has several feature screenplays currently in development, including THE
BANG/SMASH THEORY and BANANAFISH. She also writes music reviews for the
controversial website Napster.
