Jennifer was born in the San Francisco Bay area and has traveled throughout Southeast Asia, residing in Malaysia for four years. She graduated from Pomona College in 1996, where she was a Media Studies major with a Film/Video emphasis. Her senior thesis was a narrative grappling with gender role expectations, race and artistic merit. She has been an PA, editor and assistant editor of documentaries for public broadcast, social service and the NEH. Jennifer has also worked in various development and post-production environments in the film industry. She aims to create provocative films primarily challenging conservative attitudes toward race, age, sexuality, gender and squid. She is the Recipient of the Holleigh Bernson Award.
