Jennifer Niven McJunkin
Jennifer Niven McJunkin is a second year screen writing Fellow. She was born in North
Carolina and raised in both North Carolina and Indiana. Inspired by her mother, writer Penelope
Niven, Jennifer has written stories, poems, and plays since childhood. In 1988, she published
""Teen Cuisine"" (a cookbook for teenagers with braces), which she co-authored with her parents.
After graduating from Drew University with a degree in English Literature, Jennifer moved to
California. She has written a one woman play about Zelda Fitzgerald, and has studied acting at the
Globe Theater in San Diego. Jennifer has written several television spec scripts with a writing
partner in New York, worked as a research/editorial/archival assistant, and has completed her first
screenplay this past year.
