Jayil Pak

After graduating from NYU with a degree in film production, Jayil has worked as a director and editor of commercials, music videos, and short films in both the US and South Korea. In the last four years, his works have screened in 100+ film festivals and garnered 40+ awards around the world. In addition to his films, Jayil’s screenplays have received several prominent Korean awards including the Independent Film Grant from the Korean Film Council and the Merit of Excellence from the Shin Young Kyun Arts & Culture Foundation. Most recently, his film Georgia (2020) received the Sonje Award for Best Short Film at the Busan International Film Festival and was nominated for a Korean Oscar (Blue Dragon Award) in 2021.
