Jason J Smith

Jason is a Los Angeles native who grew up in Long Beach California. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Long Beach he pursued his love of filmmaking which led to work as a development assistant where he learned firsthand how films are developed, packaged and sold. His work as a development assistant led him to enroll in the American Film Institute Conservatory where he studied producing, graduated with an MFA in 2016. His previous work in advertising & marketing has been a great asset to navigating and understanding the film & television marketplace while his passion for storytelling drives his curiosity in finding & developing compelling stories to be put onto the screen.
