James Adolphus
DirectorJames Adolphus is a cinematographer engaged in making meaningful motion picture films about social, cultural and political issues of global relevance. Adolphus is currently shooting LIGHT UP THE SKY, a groundbreaking documentary shot with the Red One camera. James is also in pre- production on the anticipated independent feature film, AUGUST, based on the award winning short, POSTMORTEM. His recent credits as director of photography include Sundance Channel’’s provocative and eye- opening documentary series BRICK CITY, winner of the 2010 Peabody Award. Adolphus also photographed WITHOUT THE KING, winner of the Special Jury Prize at Hot Docs International Documentary Festival. James Adolphus is currently a cinematography fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory.
