Hashim Hassan

As an actor in UC Santa Barbara’’s Multi-‐Cultural Drama Company, he wrote and acted in sketch comedy shows dealing with race, class, and gender. Following graduation with a BA in global studies, law school seemed like the next practical move, but after attending a highly motivational lecture at World Financial Group (a pyramid scheme disguised as a insurance sales co.), he realized he had been suppressing his filmmaking desires far too long and dived head into his passion for directing. Since AFI, he’’s revamped his production company, Faux Real Productions, directing a music video, Fallen Heroes, and two comedy shorts, The School of Environmental Acting and World’’s Greatest Uncle. He plans on moving to Dubai within the next few months to work in TV and commercials before returning to the states to work on features.
