Guy Godfree

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Guy Godfree is a cinematographer currently living in New York. He is an eleven year member of the International Cinematographer’’s Guild, his work has been shown in numerous film festivals around the globe. Guy shot the award winning short Becoming, directed by Ayelen Liberona and Joseph Cami, premiering at the 2009 World Wide Short Film Festival and winner of that festival’’s Emerging Filmmaker Award. Guy also photographed Ten For Grandpa with New York based director, Douglas Karr, this award winning short film had it’’s world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and then continued on to show in 42 film festivals worldwide. He also shot the feature film Reverie for director Saul Pincus. Guy’’s commercial work includes MTV spot for Nike’’s “Plus I Run.” Also the branded content documentary series for Cervelo bicycles, Beyond the Peleton – Tour de France, shot in France, Andorra, Switzerland, Spain and Monaco. Guy attended the American Film Institute as a Cinematography Fellow and recently received the KODAK Scholarship Program’’s Gold Award in recognition for his cinematography work in his first year at AFI.
