Giovanni Maldonado Chinea

Giovanni is a Puerto Rican writer and currently a Screenwriting Fellow at the American Film Institute. He discovered his passion for filmmaking while studying Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Prompting him to switch through the university’’s departments until he was admitted to the School of Public Communication where he received a BA in Audiovisual Communications in 2013. While studying, he worked on various short films and YouTube comedy sketches.
