Elizabeth Shea

Elizabeth Shea: While attending Trinity College in Washington, DC, I wrote my senior

thesis at Ted Koppel's ""Nightline"", and interned at VH-1, an MTV network,

in production and programming development. After graduating college I

freelanced for WGBY-TV, a PBS affiliate, Continental Cablevision, and

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield,

Massachusetts. While attending The American Film Institute I have

produced five short films, of which Velva Jean Learns to Drive is-my

thesis film. The script for Velva Jean Learns to Drive, written by

Jennifer Niven McJunkin, was awarded a production grant from The Colin

Higgins Foundation. The film, directed by John Hart Angelo, has also won

the Grand Jury prize for best short film from the World Fest-Charleston

International Film Festival, as well as an award to Yoram Astrakhan for

best cinematography. Other significant members of the team include

editor Lars Wodschow, and production designer Lawrence Chew.
