While growing up, E.M. frequently cast (read forced) her friends, classmates, and teachers into the short films she wrote. After earning a Master of Arts in Literature, she became a professor at her alma mater. In 2001, Rebellious Dreamers awarded E.M. a coveted grant to write her first feature-length screenplay. She hasn't stopped writing since. Now in her second year at the American Film Institute Conservatory, E.M was awarded The Philip and Patricia Barry Memorial Scholarship. Most recently, her short, THE IMAGINIST, placed in the “Back in the Box” screenplay competition.
