Eddie Melikyan

Eddie is a first generation Armenian - American born in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the American Film Institute with an MFA in Directing. Eddie has been recognized by the ARPA foundation as a filmmaker who explores diaspora, exile, and multiculturalism. Inspired by coping with the sudden death of his grandfather, he discovered Just Like Her, a story by an AFI colleague, Lauren Lillie. As the writer and director, Eddie hopes to express the surprises, explore the relationships, and overcome the challenges that we endure in our everyday lives. Currently, Eddie is a Directing mentor at the Shanghai Film Art Academy in China.
