E.J. Castillo
E.J. Castillo began his career in the late '60s as a member of the world
renowned El Teatro Campesino headed by Luis Valdez. In 1978 E.J. appeared
as Smily in the Mark Taper's production of ZOOT SUIT. E.J. took over the
lead role of Henry Reyna when the show moved to the Aquarius Theater.
Following ZOOT SUIT, E.J. made several television appearances before
costarring as Ed Harris' protege in BORDERLINE, starring Charles Bronson. A
guest star role followed as an intense but sensitive war hero in THE
WALTONS.
His other television credits include co-starring roles on SEGUIN for PBS,
TODAY'S FBI, A SMALL KILLING, FIGHTING BACK, BRAKER and the recent
CHILD'S CRY for CBS. In addition to BORDERLINE, E.J's films include LOSIN
IT, BLACK MOON RISING, a starring role in THE DELOS ADVENTURE and a co-
starring role in the Academy Award-nominated EL NORTE.
