DJ Darrell McConduit

DJ McConduit was born in the cultural city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to attending the American Film Institute, GJ received his BA in Television/Film Production from Dillard University. Upon graduation he has worked full time as a Cinematographer on various short films, documentaries and commercials ranging from spots for NBA basketball team, New Orleans Hornets, to feature length docs aired on Louisiana PBS.

DJ fell in love with storytelling at a very young age. His mother is an author who has published several childrenʼs books about his childhood life. This experience pushed DJ towards the arts and eventually lead to filmmaking. Although he uses 24 frames to tell stories rather than words, this unique experience inspired, and continues to inspire him as a storyteller this day.
