Derek is a graduate of Harvard University with a BA of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies majoring in Creative Writing and Literature. With a background in stand-up, improv, and sketch, Derek writes in a variety of comedic genres from his animated/family film GUINEA PIGS. Second place winner in the 2011 Emerging Screenwriters Competition, to his raunchy adult comedy LIFE AFTER DEATH, first place winner of the comedy category at the 2012 Fresh Voices Screenwriting Contest.
