David Charry

David Charry was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2009, he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship at Columbia College Chicago where he studied cinematography. After graduating, David continued to work in Chicago on various shorts and independant features. One short film David shot, ILLUMINATED, was exhibited at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Several other films David has shot have been official selection at various film festivals around the world. David received his MFA in cinematography at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory, and now works locally in Los Angeles. David also enjoys playing guitar, as well as backpacking.
