Dave Herman

David has wanted to direct films since childhood. In 2004 he graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Photography. He also spent a summer semester at USC’s Film and Television school focusing on directing. While directing a short film SILENCED, David went through the NM Film Commission’s incentive program and had union members serve as the mentors to the crew. He started the Southwest Film Center film festival where New Mexican students show their films to and receive feedback from industry professionals. Since then he has made several short narrative films, documentaries, and music videos. David also was fortunate enough to work as a camera intern on several features and television projects in New Mexico.
