Darko Suvak

Award-winning cinematographer Darko Suvak was raised in Zagreb, Croatia,

and received his BA in Cinematography from the University of Zagreb.

Suvak consecutively won the Croatian National Award for Movie of the Year for

WHILE NOBODY IS WATCHING and MIRTA LEARNS STATISTICS. In 1993, he moved to Los

Angeles to study at the American Film Institute and earned his Masters degree.

Suvak won the Mary Pickford Foundation Award for Outstanding Work in

Cinematography and later received the 1995 Eastman Kodak Scholarship Award.

He has shot several feature films including SNITCH, a black comedy starring

Academy Award-winner Marlee Matlin and Billy McNamara and most recently STIR, a

thriller set in Los Angeles.
