Daniel Sawka

Daniel Sawka is a filmmaker from Stockholm currently attending his final year of the MFA Directing Program at the American Film Institute. Daniel’’s background as a classically trained actor is a strong influence on his filmmaking. As graduate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), he has performed at theaters in the UK, Paris and Moscow. Daniel has received several awards from the RCS, Sweden’’s National Board for Youth Affairs, the Emerich Foundation - awarded by the Crown Princess of Sweden, as well as two scholarships from the AFI Conservatory. Daniel recently directed his first pilot, recorded at Roy Andersson’’s iconic Studio 24, and is currently a writer on the same TV-series.
