Daniel Adlerstein

Dan graduated from Wesleyan University in 2003 with a BA and Honors in Film Studies. Since then he has worked in many facets of the cinematographers world -- at a camera rental house, a film lab, as a grip, electric, and as a camera assistant (Dan is a member of IATSE local 600). As a Director of Photography (DP), he has shot a wide variety of projects including music videos, documentaries, commercials, shorts, and a featurette shot in the Greek Islands, entitled IOS. In his first year at AFI, Dan was the DP on SHUTTERBUG, DANDELION, and BOY’’S NIGHT. In his second year at AFI. In his second year, Dan was awarded the Pat Hitchcock O’’ Connell Scholarship.
