Daga Malinska
Strongly affected by her grandfather Jan, a pilot and an artist who loved to capture moments in people's lives with his still cameras, she has been always fascinated with the stories of interesting minds. In 2008 she was awarded with one year filmmaking scholarship at London Film Academy where she discovered that along with interest in Directing she has an eye and talent for Cinematography. Her work at the Academy garnered her a selection for New British Cinematographers Night.
After gaining further experience shooting, her desire to train her eye and master the art of visual storytelling encouraged to her successfully apply to the Master Cinematography Program at the American Film Institute. She is interested in the perception of one’’s sight and vision and loves creating beautiful, yet meaningful images that evoke strong emotions and make a statement in the blink of an eye.
Mastering the art and craft of cinematography as a storyteller is the fundamental to her ultimate goal- filmmaking that provokes and dives deep into one’’s heart and mind.
