Courtney Stephens

Courtney grew up in Northern California.  She studied Medical Anthropology at UC Berkeley and the University of Delhi, India, then worked as editor for the art publication Cabinet Magazine in New York. Since coming to Los Angeles, she has worked as editorial assistant to Gore Vidal and script reader for Peter Bogdanovich Productions.  In addition to Equestrian Sexual Response, she was screenwriter on the AFI thesis films Life on Earth and The Opening, receiving her MFA in 2009. Her video works and collages have been shown internationally.
