Brett Swanson
Brett grew up in Austin, Texas, where he was a track star and learned that football and guitars are awesome. He went on to study poetry and journalism at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and spent a decade working at a summer camp in nearby Estes Park, where he learned that mountains and guitars are awesome.
Brett helped found the small production company Over-‐Soul Films and has been an accidental actor on numerous occasions, most notably starring as a guy pretending to be Bigfoot in the short film 'Yellow Top,' and day-‐playing as a gullible Ashram dweller in the Indian feature MAKANTE ACHAN. After two rigorous years at AFI, during which time Brett wrote three pilots, four features, four shorts, and lots of comments at the blog Lutheran Surrealism, Brett is now developing features with a number of production companies while also teaching wacky after-‐school science programs to five year olds.
