Brent Martin
Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Brent graduated with Honours from Toronto’’s York University film production program. There he directed and produced the documentary MY GRANDFATHER’’S VOICE (2006), which won the Best Documentary Awards at both Cinesiege and the Winnipeg International Film Festival. In his final undergraduate year, Brent produced two award winning short films, VIVA JOPO (2007) and SOUVENIRS FROM ASIA (2007). Both films were screened in festivals across Canada, the US, and China. In 2007, Brent became the assistant to producer William Vince, the founder of Infinity Features (SAVED!, CAPOTE, THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS). Brent has recently completed his Master’’s degree in producing at the American Film Institute, where he was the recipient of the prestigious Joseph and Olga Auerbach Scholarship, and produced the short film, CLEAR BLUE. Currently, Brent splits his time between Toronto and Los Angeles where he is developing a number of commercials, documentaries, and feature film project.
