Brad Tucker

Brad Tucker grew up in Miami Florida, then attended Georgia Tech with a prestigious four-year President's Scholarship and went on to graduate with Mechanical Engineering, and was awarded the institute's first minor in Film Studies. His first short, a Russian-language film titled FANYA KAPLAN about the 1918 at­tempted assassination of Vladimir Lenin by a peasant woman, garnered many awards including top prizes at the state, region, and eventually winning the Campus MovieFest National Best Picture Award in 2007. He then won a McEver Fel­lowship to bring his short film to the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Brad is currently a Di­recting Fellow at the American Film Insti­tute.
