Bochen Zhang
ProducerBochen Zhang is a Los Angeles-based producer, who has been working in film, television and digital content since 2007. She is originally from Beijing, China. Bochen produced the first ancient Chinese language short film for American Film Institute, where she received her MFA. She produced the short film, CODE RED, a Google funded short film based on the real-life story of two teenage girls who created a viral video game called Tampon Run. It’’s a film about women in science, taboos and friendship. Also on the producing list, The Strangeness of Coming Home is about the challenges faced by a war veteran returning home from Iraq. Two time recipients of prestigious AFI Scholarships. In 2012, before leaving China, she was the associate producer for an award-winning short film for America’’s National Film Challenge, winning Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Lead Actress for the film, A Part Apart. Before her work in film, Bochen produced content for CCTV (China Central Television), as well as for major brands, including VW Beetle, Procter & Gamble, and MasterCard.
