Berenice Chavez

Berenice is a graduate from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas. She received her BA in Film. During her time at UNLV, Berenice worked as an editor with notable directors such as David Schmoeller and Brett Levner. She also produced and edited two short documentaries titled, PASSING THE TORCH and NORTH TO PARADISE, both of which received a total of three National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences: Pacific Southwest Chapter Student Emmy Award nominations. She won two of those awards, one of them for her editing. Berenice is also a recipient of the Las Vegas Film Festival’’s Emerging Filmmakers Scholarship. Recently, Berenice has earned her MFA in Film Editing at the American Film Institute
