Ben Lovett is a songwriter and composer of film music from the United States. Since scoring the Sundance favorite and Independent Spirit Award-nominated thriller THE SIGNAL in 2007, Lovett has gone on to compose original music for a diverse range of breakthrough films and documentaries including the Netflix original THE RITUAL and the Searchlight Pictures thriller THE NIGHT HOUSE from director David Bruckner; Jim Cummings' tragicomedy THE WOLF OF SNOW HOLLOW (Orion Classics); Amy Seimetz's award-winning noir SUN DON'T SHINE(Factory 25); Emma Tammi's haunted western THE WIND(IFC); Katie Aselton's survival thriller BLACK ROCK(Lion’s Gate); and Jacob Gentry's time travel noir SYNCHRONICITY (Magnolia Pictures) which earned Ben a nomination for "Discovery of the Year" at the prestigious World Soundtrack Awards.

Through the years Lovett has generated worldwide recognition for his scores and numerous collaborative musical projects including award-winning narrative collaborations with the directors of many Lovett-scored films including THE OLD WAYS (Netflix); BROADCAST SIGNAL INTRUSION (Dark Sky), and the original series TOMORROW'S MONSTERS (iHeart Radio). In addition to film work Lovett has composed scores for feature documentaries and television films including the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary TOMMY and MTV's MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET SIXTEEN trilogy; the colorful taxidermy documentary STUFFED; the Hulu original series INTO THE DARK; and underscore for various network programs including Cartoon Network's TOONAMI and ADULT SWIM.
