Avner Mayer

Avner Mayer graduated from the Minshar Academy of Arts Cinema Studies Program in 2011. He also holds a BA in Humanities Studies from Israeli Open University. In 2010, Mayer started working in the Israeli cinema and TV industry as a Director of Photography. He worked on narrative and documentary projects as well as commercials and video art works. Among his notable projects are: PLACEBO, a 46-minute narrative drama directed by Rani Blaier (Head of the Israeli Directors Guild 2008-2012) and EYE DROPS, a short narrative drama directed by Mohamed Bakri, which screened during International Critic Week at the Venice Film Festival
