Atanas Radev

Atanas was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on September 24, 1967. From 1973 to 1981, he attended elementary school and joined the photography club. In 1981, he went to a high school where he concentrated in math and physics. After service in the Army, he was sent to study engineering in Moscow. Instead, he attended a film school. In 1992, he began the film program at Columbia College Chicago and graduated in 1996 with a concentration in cinematography. Atanas has shot numerous student projects, four independent shorts and has worked on other projects as well.
