Asher Jelinsky

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Asher Jelinsky is a director and writer based in Los Angeles. Asher recently completed their MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute Conservatory and holds BA degrees in Media Studies and Public Health from Pitzer College . Asher enjoys telling poetic, character-driven stories that often explore nuanced relationships, intimacy and queerness within the context of larger narratives. Their involvement in the LGBTQ community spans a decade, from directing documentary videos for transgender health organizations to premiering short films at the San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival.

In addition to narrative filmmaking, Asher has produced and directed photo and video content for Fortune 500 companies including Google, Charles Schwab, and Oracle.
