Angelia Sciulli
Angie hails from Elyria, Ohio, which is just outside of Cleveland. Her passion for filmmaking all started growing up watching her grandpa’’s old, Super-8, home-movies of her family, dating as far back as the 1940’’s which consists of a collection of over one hundred reels of film. Her grandpa would project them at family get-togethers during the holidays which inspired Angie to not only want to be just like her grandpa, but it also sparked an interest in being behind the camera as well. She loves writing stories about the human condition and will try anything to incorporate animals into every film she is a part of. She has studied at the New York Film Academy and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Digital Media from Cleveland State University. While at CSU, Angie received the Mihaly Zan Cinematography Award in 2008. Her experimental, short film, THE LONG GOODBYE, has screened at several film festivals including The Coney Island Film Festival in New York and she was the Director of Photography on a stop-‐motion commercial for the VitaMix-‐XL Blender. Angie is a member of Women In Film and is currently in her second year at the American Film Institute, where she is working towards her Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Cinematography.
