Andrew Spieler

Andrew earned his BFA, cum laude, as a Writer/Director in May '07 from the SUNY Purchase Film Conservatory. He has attended and taught courses offered by the New York Film Academy in both Directing and Acting for film held at Harvard. Actively involved in the film and television field for ten years, Andrew has worked for his local cable access station and has formed his own freelance production company, ASPire Films. Andrew’s Senior Thesis HD short entitled “ALL BEFORE DAWN” recently won a Student Film Award from the National Board of Review. In June of ’07 he worked on the independent feature “THE POKER CLUB,” starring Jonathan Schaech and Judy Reyes, directed by Tim McCann. He has directed three Cycle Projects during his first year at the American Film Institute (AFI) and upon completing his thesis film “THE RESPONSE,” Andrew will earn his MFA in Directing in the fall of ’09.
