Andrea Odezynska
Director/writer Andrea Odezynska was born in Philadelphia,
PA. She graduated from Bennington College, and also attended the
Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
Odezynska worked as director and assistant director in many
off-off Broadway theaters in New York City, including R.A P.P.
and La Mama Experimental Theater Company.
In 1990, she became an Artist in Residence at the Downtown
Community Television Center in New York, where she directed a
documentary, ""A Window East. "" Odezynska directed, wrote and
produced her next project, a short comedy film entitled ""Polish Love
Secrets.""
Prior to beginning work on DORA WAS DYSFUNCTIONAL she co-
wrote and directed three narrative videos, ""Roofing,"" ""The Re-cruit,"" and ""Body Parts,"" during her first year as a Resident Fellow
in Directing at the American Film Institute. Odezynska was
awarded scholarships by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association
and Kodak/Robert Wise for her work at the AFI. Currently Andrea
is completing a feature screenplay entitled ""Amazonia Nervosa.""
