András Roder

He began his career in Hungary by working for theaters, where he captured and mixed live motion pictures for video installations and visual backgrounds. Filming became his passion at an early age when he began experimenting with visual storytelling. He’’s been working as a cinematographer on shorts, commercials and music videos for the past ten years in Budapest, New York and Los Angeles. On the side, he was freelancing as a photographer and worked at the lighting department of Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. He earned his BA in Cinematography and Film Production from Brooklyn College and currently pursues his MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute Conservatory.
