Amelie Wen

Amelie began making short films at an early age during her days at Beijing No. 4 High School. She then attended Wellesley College where she studied Cinema and Media Studies and Psychology. She returned to China to join the directing department of major motion pictures such as The Flowers of War and The Assassins, where she was able to work alongside prominent Chinese director Zhang Yimou. She is a recent graduate from the AFI directing program, under the Bison Fellowship for promising Chinese filmmakers. Her short film ""Home"" received its world premiere at the 21st Los Angeles Film Festival and has since been playing at major festivals around the world.
