Ali Alimi

Ali Alimi is a graduate from Cal State University Northridge with a BS in Psychology. After his studies, he worked for Chiodo Bros. for three years and helped as an assistant on Paramount Pictures’’ feature, TEAM AMERICA. He has also worked as a writer for MTV’’s lyrical sketch comedy show, THE LYRICIST LOUNGE SHOW and Discovery Kids’’ Emmy-nominated show, HIP HOP HARRY. Presently he is an editing fellow at The American Film Institute.

Alimi was attracted to YOU GOT THIS because be found the characters relatable and the desire to help others compelling. Moreover, Ali has been personally affected by cancer. He lost a cousin and a mentor to the disease. Additionally, a close friend of his is currently battling Lymphoma. His goal is to make a great film to honor of his family and friends struggles and strength.

As far as physically activity goes, Alimi considers himself more of a runner than a walker. In 2010 he completed a 5K for heart disease and has always has been involved in boxing, martial arts and soccer.
