With spooky season just around the corner, some big releases are beginning to trickle out.
And 'Wednesday' on Netflix, of course, is one major release that's been on all of our radars. In our first look at the deranged Addams Family below, we catch what Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and titular star of the series Jenna Ortega are going to bring to the kooky family table.
Here they are in all of their black and white glory.
Vanity Fair got the first exclusive look at the family from the upcoming Tim Burton-produced and directed series, which will centre on the family's gloomy daughter (Jenna Ortega) as she enters a prestigious boarding school, Nevermore Academy, which specialises in teaching outcasts. 'Wednesday' will see the teenager: "Master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore."
As we can see, Catherine Zeta-Jones is on board as the matriarch Morticia, Luis Guzmán as her husband Gomez, with Isaac Ordonez as Wednesday's troublesome brother Pugsly.
The series will mark Tim Burton's first time ever directing a TV series, and the famed filmmaker has directed four out of the eight episodes. Co-creator of 'Wednesday', Miles Millar, told Vanity Fair: "That's something that was very important to the show — that it didn't feel like a remake or a reboot.
"It's something that lives within the Venn diagram of what happened before, but it's its own thing. It's not trying to be the movies or the '60s TV show. That was very important to us and very important to Tim.
"The ambition for the show was to make it an eight-hour Tim Burton movie."
'Wednesday' will be winging its way onto Netflix very soon.
