It’s been 31 years since Lee launched his career with a black-and-white directorial debut called ‘She’s Gotta Have It’.
The movie earned $7M from a tiny budget and twelve-day shooting schedule. Now, Netflix have updated the story and turned it into a series with Lee directing all ten episodes.
The plot again centres around a struggling Brooklyn artist called Nola Darling who begins dating three men at the same time, but it's been given a modern twist.
She’s Gotta Have It airs on Netflix on November 23rd.
