The official trailer for season 3 of ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ has arrived. A teaser signalling the return of Kingpin was dropped just last week.
Charlie Cox returns as the titular character, aka Matt Murdock, with Vincent D’Onofrio playing his nemesis, Wilson Fisk.
The last time we saw Daredevil was in Netflix series ‘The Defenders’, in which he teamed up with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones). The show finale saw Daredevil presumably die when he and Elektra (Elodie Yung) were engulfed by the cave-in of Midland Circle. However a post credits tease revealed that Murdock survived the ordeal, albeit in rough shape, and was being nursed back to health by nuns.
We spoke to Charlie about what we can expect from the new season and he said: “The one thing I will say is that we do have a scene that is a homage to the corridor scene in the first season that people ask a lot about and I think we may have even outdone ourselves with this one. I’m very excited for the fans to see that.”
The plot synopsis for season 3 released by Netflix reads: “Missing for months, Matt Murdock reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk is released from prison, Matt must choos between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.”
Season 3 of ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ debuts exclusively on Netflix October 19th, 2018.
